Terms of use — private alpha
LeadScout is early-stage software offered to invited users. These terms cover acceptable use, the limits on third-party data, and the as-is nature of alpha access.
Plain-language summary: LeadScout is early-stage alpha software offered to a small group of invited users. Use it for legitimate business research, keep your login secure, and treat the company data it shows as evidence to verify rather than guaranteed fact. It is provided as-is during the alpha, without warranties or an uptime guarantee.
1. The alpha
Access is by invitation for evaluation. Features may change, break, or be removed, and there may be downtime or data resets as the product matures. We will give alpha participants reasonable notice of anything disruptive where we can.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not share your login. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
3. Acceptable use
- Use LeadScout only for lawful business research you are authorised to perform.
- Do not attempt to break authentication, access other users’ workspaces, overload the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
- Respect the terms and rate limits of the public sources and any third-party providers you connect with your own keys.
- Do not use the product to harass, defraud, or unlawfully profile individuals.
4. Data accuracy — no guarantee
Company intelligence is assembled from public sources and is provided without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. It is shown with its provenance precisely so you can check it. Decisions you make from it are your own; verify anything material before you act on it.
5. Availability and warranties
During the alpha the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. There is no service-level agreement or guaranteed uptime for alpha access.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeadScout is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions taken in reliance on data the product surfaces. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Your content
The workspace data you create remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and process it in order to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your research.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product develops; we will communicate material changes to alpha participants. For any question about these terms, contact the LeadScout team through the person who invited you to the alpha.
